Legal
Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of ExpenseTracking, a personal finance progressive web application published by Facware. By using the application or its optional Google Drive integration, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
ExpenseTracking helps you record income and expenses, plan budgets, review reports, track vehicle costs, manage currencies, and export your records. Local use does not require an account. Optional Google Drive backup and restore require your separate authorization with Google.
2. Your records and backups
You retain responsibility for the accuracy, legality, and security of the financial information you enter. You are responsible for making backups and checking that an export or Drive backup completed successfully. Do not use ExpenseTracking as your only copy of records that you cannot replace.
3. Acceptable use
You may use the service only for lawful personal or authorized business purposes. You must not abuse, disrupt, reverse engineer, probe, overload, or attempt unauthorized access to the application, its hosting, Google APIs, or another person’s data.
4. Google Drive integration
When you enable Drive backup, you authorize the application to use the Google permissions shown during consent for backup and restore. You may revoke that authorization at any time. Google Drive availability, limits, and account rules are controlled by Google. If access is denied, revoked, or unavailable, local use and local exports may still work, but Drive features may not.
5. Financial disclaimer
ExpenseTracking is a record-keeping and planning tool. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting, legal, banking, or credit advice. You should consult a qualified professional for advice and independently verify calculations and decisions.
6. Availability and changes
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features, including third-party integrations, at any time. The service may be unavailable because of maintenance, browser limitations, device failure, network conditions, or third-party outages. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
7. Intellectual property
Facware and its licensors retain rights in the application, branding, documentation, and website except for information you enter or content identified as open source. You receive a limited, non-exclusive right to use the service for its intended purpose while these Terms apply.
8. Disclaimer and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available” without guarantees of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or preservation of your records. Facware is not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate entries, lost local data, failed backups, device or browser problems, Google Drive issues, or decisions made using the application. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the application at any time and revoke Google access. We may restrict access for abuse, security, legal, or operational reasons. Ending use does not automatically delete local data or Drive files; you must delete those records using the controls provided by your device, browser, Google Drive, or support request.
10. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you. Questions about these Terms can be sent to [email protected].
These product terms supplement the general Facware Terms of Service where applicable.
